Evanescence is a psychological narrative game about a girl whose world slowly shrinks as she loses the ability to express herself.

As emotional strain builds up, navigate yourself and avoid losing all the spaces to express yourself due to emotional overloads.

Cynthia is a girl from a family consisting of parents, a brother and a little sister (Cynthia herself). The little sister is the sole survivor of an accident which killed all the other family members. 

Before the tragedy, she was constantly holding back her emotions, the way her parents treated her did not allow her to express herself. Constantly comparing her to the elder brother, controlling what she should and should not do, and rejecting her true self as their daughter, made her believe that she had no value at all. While the brother, on the other hand, was a loving and caring brother. Alleviating the pain caused by bad parenting. In her eyes, her big brother is her world. Being able to freely express oneself and be who she really is. 

Outside, she has to put on a mask in front of her friends, teachers, and the other folks in town. With her brother’s death, it's only a matter of time until the safe world that her brother provided slowly fades away.
